Leander Architectural manufactures a wide range of standard cast aluminium architectural components for use in traditional, heritage and contemporary projects.
Our established range includes column bases, capitals, collars, decorative brackets, spandrels, balustrade components, finials and other architectural castings, available for incorporation into your own structures, restoration work or new-build projects. We usually produce these in aluminium, but we can produce in Cast Iron if specifically requested – please discuss your requirements.

Cast Column Bases
We have a very large selection of cast column bases – to fit tubing diameters from 60mm to 200mm+. These bases can be mixed & matched with our column collars to help customise plain structural columns into something looking very special.

Column Finials
We really do have a LOT of finials! Most are designed to fit over standard tube sizes such as 76mm or 89mm, but there are others which suit the top of a roof or any kind of domed structure. All are illustrated in the Architectural Castings pdf which can easily be downloaded above.
Column Collars
For a very small outlay, our collars and bases can transform basic tubular columns into something much more attractive. All collars can be supplied with stainless steel grub screws to locate and fix them to your columns.
Fingerpost & Signpost Columns
We offer 2 distinct types of metal column – fully cast aluminium or a galvanised steel-aluminium “hybrid”. Both can look very traditional and are extremely durable.
With the vast pattern archive and knowledge, we are able to manufacture a wide range of traditional and contemporary cast signage. Our range of cast columns and hybrid columns (steel tube with a cast column base) can generally be mixed and matched with various finger arm and finial types to provide the overall desired style.
Whether you are building a new waymarking signage scheme or just looking to refresh or update your current navigation, our robust and attractive fingerposts are the perfect solution. We offer a wide range of styles, materials and colour finishes with printed or cast lettering options.
Bespoke solutions can be designed for private and corporate clients. The company maintains long-term records of all the towns and cities it has worked for and can easily provide replacements or additional posts for any of them. Installation and repairs on site are undertaken throughout the UK.
Cross Beams & Friezes
Replacing steel sections with cast cross beams transforms the appearance of a canopy or arcade.
Decorative friezes can be added above or below the beams or even along gutter tops. Light in weight and made from a high-silicon cast aluminium alloy, all our castings have good structural strength and corrosion resistance.
Balustrade Panels & Friezes
We make cast balustrade panels and also fabricated panels. We even combine the two, using cast panels within a fabricated framework. They can be supplied complete with handrails in metals or hardwoods. Our cast frieze sections can be used just about anywhere! Simple fabricated structures can be greatly enhanced at little cost by adding an appropriate frieze.
Roof Top Finials
These are our larger and more decorative cast aluminium finials, ideal for the roof of a conservatory, shop, house or even a garage!
Cast Spandrel Brackets
The following drawings only show these elements in two dimensions. Some are more slender than they look; others are chunkier. Feel free to suggest any combination that you like – we’ll advise if they don’t make a good aesthetic match.
For certain applications, a bespoke variant may be required – a logo or motif added, a slightly different length or special fixing brackets. These are options that we’re well experienced at adding

Our standard architectural castings are produced using our extensive range of existing patterns, avoiding the cost and lead time associated with developing a new bespoke pattern.
Components are cast in aluminium at our UK foundry and can be supplied for use by fabricators, contractors, architects, conservation specialists and private customers.
